Interesting Fashion Doll Head

Fashion Doll Head from Dollar Tree

A quick stop in Dollar Tree on Memorial Day led to the discovery of these fashion doll heads.   They are similar in design to the extra heads made for Mattel's Fashionista Swappin' Styles except the breast and shoulders are permanently attached to a yellow base.  The head can be removed.

I thought these might be good for repaint practice or to hold playscale wigs (if the rooted hair is shaved off.)  The heads with their relatively attractive faces and brown eyes  can also be used on extra doll bodies.  A hair brush is included.

  1. Great to see that Dollar Tree has started to carry some black dolls again after a hiatus of about five years.

    1. I guess a black doll head is a decent start. This was my 2nd time visiting this recently opened Dollar Tree. The first time I was disappointed to see a gang load of white Barbie clones and zero black ones. The fashion heads were the closest thing to a black doll they had on my second trip. Maybe next time they'll have whole black dolls in stock.

  3. I've seen these heads in some Deals stores here in Philly. So they might be available at other discount stores.

Their heads can pop off a round knob trake. They have holes for earrings, too. On the boxes here, they are called "Lovely Tracy" in yellow script.

  7. They are cute. Someone (not me) could open up a Hair School and use some of the black ones and some of the whites ones as head mannequins. That would be cool. Again, not me.

    1. They are cute, Vanessa. A salon is a great idea. Georgia Girl mentioned her plans to open one. I hope the doors will open soon.

    2. Not a hair salon. A hair school. I guess it's really called a Cosmetology school. We had a full service one at my high school as part of the curriculum. Maybe I will do one. Kara can take on that project at the local high school. NOOOOOOO, Vanessa, NOOOOOO.
