More Sparkle Girlz

I went back to Walmart to check for new Fashion Madness Kenya stock, hoping to find TJ, Dwayne, and Keyshia.  No such luck occurred.  However, I did notice the quantity of the Kelly-sized Sparkle Girlz had diminished from approximately 24 when I was there originally (minus the four I purchased that day) to six!

I purchased six additional Sparkle Girlz -- Walmart's remaining quantity.

With the thought of using them as ornaments still fresh in my mind, I scooped up the remaining six.  I'll add these to the two I purchased for my friend and possibly use the two I purchased for myself, depending on the size tabletop Christmas tree I find.

All 10 Sparkle Girlz -- the four in front are the original ones purchased.

As I stood in the 20 Items or Less line clutching the six new Sparkle Girlz in my arms along with a box of unsalted crackers, a woman walked up and asked, "How much were those dolls?"  I replied, "$2.47, but there aren't any more."  She expressed her disappointment, but I wasn't about to share.  (I have a tree to decorate, I thought ☺.)

    1. That's great TGM. $2.47 is not a bad price to pay for a dress and shoes.

  2. LOLOL. You couldn't give the lady just one single solitary doll?? Yeah, I wouldn't have given her one either, lol. To the victor goes the spoils!

    1. Muff, I know you aren't talking about sharing. Not after your thrift store car incident. lol.

    2. Ummm... Muff, nope!
      Reasons:
      Finder's keepers losers weepers.
      First come first served.
      You snooze you lose.

LOL! Seriously, though, had they not been for me, I "might" have shared... might (since she probably wanted them for a little girl). But I'll never know.

    3. Vanessa, c'mon now. The thrift store is totally different. The thrift store is like a Thunder Dome. Epic battles are expected there and as Debbie says, it's first come, first serve. No one expects civility at a thrift store or at Walmart for that matter, lol. No sharing!!!!

  3. These are cute, Debbie. I hope that I'm able to find some when I make my way over to the super Walmart looking for Kenya's guy friends and Keyshia.

    1. You've probably been there by now, Roxanne. I hope some were there for you.

I saw a 1/6 scale Sparkle Girlz with a horse when I purchased the last little ones. She has a pretty face, but the head is just too big.

    2. Debbie, they had about 4 of the Kelly sized ones. I just picked up one. They had several of the 1/6 scale big-headed Sparkle girlz. Some were in a little cardboard container, like the Kelly sized ones. Others were in boxes. They do not appeal to me (nothing I can do with those heads or those bodies). But I could not resist the cute Kelly sized one. :)

    3. I enjoyed your post about the one Sparkle Girlz doll that is now incoporated into your doll family, Roxanne. Like you, I don't care for the larger ones.

  4. The last time I was at Walmart, I was happy to see a Muslim woman leaving the store with two of the larger sized (20" maybe)Sparkle Glitz dolls. It's nice to see them selling. I'm looking forward to seeing the tree.

    1. That's great Vanessa. I haven't seen the 20-inch ones, but as I commented to Roxanne, I saw a 1/6 scale one with a horse on my last visit to Wal-Mart.

I am glad they are selling, too.

    2. I will definitely share an image of the tree, Vanessa. I have to find one first. With October right around the corner, the month that Christmas decorations are usually in stores, it shouldn't take me too long.

    3. Do you guys have Hobby Lobbys? I was just there and they have a large assortment of trees in different sizes for 40% off this week. Of course, there's always an online coupon for 40% off if they aren't on sale.

  6. My 4-year-old daughter and I found these at Walmart when we were looking for a birthday present for her little friend. We bought two of these little dolls and one of the bigger Barbie-size dolls. She was so excited about them I think I may get her some of her own for Christmas!

    1. hi empires scree,

The mini Sparkke Girlz are excellent stocking stuffers. Your 4-year-old will be so surprised to receive them.

I used them to decorate a purple Christmas tree as a gift for a friend last year.
