One Love Doll and Book

One Love book based on story by Cedelia Marley and One Love Doll by Merry Makers
The One Love doll/book combination was a requested gift from my son that will be incorporated into my Dolls with Books exhibit

Editorial Description from Amazon.com:
Adapted from one of Bob Marley's most beloved songs, One Love brings the joyful spirit and unforgettable lyrics of his music to life for a new generation. Readers will delight in dancing to the beat and feeling the positive groove of change when one girl enlists her community to help transform her neighborhood for the better. Adapted by Cedella Marley, Bob Marley's first child, and gorgeously illustrated by Vanessa Newton, this heartwarming picture book offers an upbeat testament to the amazing things that can happen when we all get together with one love in our hearts.
The 9-inch cloth doll has screen-printed facial features, dark brown yarn hair, and wears a red top with yellow and red striped sleeves, blue denim Capri pants, and painted-on red shoes.  The words One Love are on the front of the top.

The doll and book have a copyright year of 2011.  Both can be purchased from Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble.com, MerryMakers.com and other online retailers.

  1. Hi Debbie, this book is great! I like Bob Marley's message in this song, and in all his songs. How original to make a book ad a doll based on this song :-).

    1. I thought it was a pretty "novel" idea, too, Night Owl. While browsing Amazon.com, I saw another Bob Marley song turned book: Every Little Thing, based on the song "Three Little Birds" by Marley. I do not believe this title has an accompanying doll. It would be great if it did.

  3. Oh my, that doll is adorable. I love her little outfit and her braids. I added her to my Amazon wishlist for future consideration.

    1. One reason I wanted the doll/book combination was the doll's cuteness factor.

  5. I hate that anything that is soo beautiful (as this book and doll) is connected with Amazon.
A money grubbing corporation that does not care about people or the environment.

I do own this book and doll. I bought it at a museum.

I wonder how many people would buy from Amazon if they knew they AMAZON sold an E-book years ago (by some guy) about how to be a pedophile.
They don't sell it anymore but the fact that they took a profit on it is disgusting.
If you don't believe me...Google it.
Type in...Amazon sells pedophile book and the articles will populate.
Free shipping is not worth my soul.
