Dr. Lisa Live, New Fresh Dolls and Fresh Squad Preorder

Fresh Dolls new editions, Aria, Aleyna, and Victoria.  Dressed in new fashions, the original six Fresh Dolls (Gabrielle, Jacqueline, Indigo, Tamra, Lynette, and Mia) will be part of the second wave as well.

Dr. Lisa, the creator of Fresh Dolls, was on Facebook Live the evening of  Friday, March 16, 2018.  She discussed the new wave of Fresh Dolls that will be released in August of this year. These include the 12-inch, articulated dolls shown above, Aria, Aleyna, and Victoria, who are new to the line.  The original six girls mentioned in the above caption will be part of the second wave.  What most collectors are excited about is the new Fresh Squad of three articulated male dolls with rooted hair shown in artist renderings below. All dolls can be ordered at the link provided below Dr. Lisa's live video.

Artist renderings of the Fresh Squad of 12-1/2-inch, articulated dolls:  Daniel, Anthony, and Malik
As Dr. Lisa states in the video, the Fresh Squad will only be available through the Fresh Dolls website and through Fresh Dolls Brand Ambassadors (authorized sellers).  The Fresh Squad will be released in a limited edition of only 3000 (1000 each) for only 30 days.

For 30 days only you can preorder the new Fresh Dolls and Fresh Squad here. For orders over $25, shipping is free.

For information on becoming a Fresh Dolls Brand Ambassador, send an email to info@worldofepi.com or send a private message to their Facebook page.

UPDATE:  After another FB live session on Sunday, March 18, 2018, Fresh Dolls shared images of the Fresh Squad/Fresh Fellas' (final name to be determined) finalized 3D-printed face sculpt.  See it here.  Also shared was an image of the articulated body to be used for the squad/fellas, which has articulated ankles.  See it here.  The squad/fellas will share the same head sculpt and body; they will have different complexions and hairstyles.

  1. Thanks for the info, Debbie! Dr. Lisa's enthusiasm is contagious. I am so tempted to order the 3 guys, but I'm holding off, hoping that I can see an actual prototype of the dolls before I order. I would be disappointed to order all 3 only to find that they all use the same head mold and have the same body. If that's the case, I'd rather see them all and choose one.

    1. Oh, the head sculpts for the guys appear to be the same as illustrated in the sketches (but different faces than the girls', of course). Their complexions, hair, and clothes will be different and unlike what you get from Mattel and other playline doll manufacturers of playscale dolls, they will have rooted hair.

Their bodies will be the same too, except for complexion. I wouldn't expect anything else at this price point based on the cost to make each mold and each body. We'd have to pay over $100 to get three different head sculpts and different bodies, which is just not feasible for playline dolls.

We need to remember that these dolls are made for children by a company that does not have Mattel's revenue to create the multiple different head sculpts and body types.

    2. Thanks Debbie, I couldn't tell from the artist rendering if the head sculpts were all the same, but I figured that they were based on information that Dr. Lisa shared in her video. Also, the dolls look like they are 3 different heights in the artist rendering, so I wasn't sure if they would all have the same body. I'll pre-order at least one of them, and will possibly get all 3 after I've seen them and if supplies last. I'll continue to support this company.

  3. Thanks for the info and updates! I preordered the guys. My ladies are excited to have more AA male dolls on the way. I hope they are as handsome in real life as they are in the 3D renderings. I think it was a savvy business decision to go about the second wave as Dr. Lisa has done. Preorders will allow her to gauge interest and produce enough to meet demand without overproducing stock. The way she's keeping the fan base excited with peeks of the dolls as they go from concept to creation is also nice. I wish other companies would do the same.

  4. You're welcome, Jewell. I am as excited about this line of dolls as Dr. Lisa and had to share the latest news about the Squad/Fellas. We are always in need of more AA playscale dolls.

Dr. Lisa is a savvy entrepreneur who thinks outside the box. Adding interns and Brand Ambassadors to help promote and sell the products, who will also receive monetary gain and other perks, will boost sales and the growth of the company. She is also open to suggestions from consumers, which is unlike anything we have seen from major doll companies. What is probably a surprise to her is that a doll line made for children has become so appealing to adult collectors. This looks like a win-win situation for her.

    2. I agree with you about Aria leading the new line. Well, Aria and Aleyna are tied for me. I don't have a favorite among the guys yet. Shrug. Going to be fun to see them.

    3. It will be fun to see how close in appearance the guys are to the artist's renderings. I am hoping it will not be too far off.

    4. If Aleyna were a true redhead, I would order her, too.

  6. Aria is also my favorite. I ordered her as well. 2018 Lynette new hair style and camo pants is pretty cool too!
Thank you for keeping me updated through your blog.

    1. Hi Miranda,

The preordering for Wave 2 has ended. I suppose after the dolls are released, if the preorders did not exhaust the limited quantities, any extra dolls will be offered in the Fresh Dolls shop, which currently only has Wave 1 products (discounted) and a few non-doll, Fresh-logo'd products.
