I love the natural style, but as soon as I get paid on Friday, I will be at Walmart buying my little perm and putting it in before the weekend ends. I go on a 4 day vacation next week and most of those people haven't seen me in 11 years. I want to spend my time visiting, not trying to make my hair look presentable. I am not skilled enough to make Nappy look good. If I could look like my Sylvia doll, I could be happy. I was only able to take one picture with my cell phone because my battery was low. Good grief. Aging is no joke.

I am very familiar with ponytails. I've been wearing my hair in one (my own hair) for about 8 months when I decided to let the perm grow off and go chemical free except for color every now and then (I don't like the Frederick Douglass gray temples look on me). I may have 1/4 inch of perm left on the ends which have been trimmed intermittently throughout this process to cut off most of the perm. In another three months I should be happy-nappy-free, but I'll probably still wear my ponytail.

What are your plans?

dbg

*CRS=Can't Remember S---Black Doll Enthusiasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07534871309015210903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6047557606653771556.post-37945359289115645462011-05-31T09:33:47.135-05:002011-05-31T09:33:47.135-05:00You definitely need to do the Granny thing. My hairdresser decided she no longer wants to do perms, so I've been left to my own vices, and that is not a good thing.Vanessahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09027064808344974667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6047557606653771556.post-73536166973488812152011-05-31T08:01:22.246-05:002011-05-31T08:01:22.246-05:00I'm not sure. I'm sitting here with my hair wet from being shampooed over an hour ago before I sat down to compose the Philly Show recap blog, wrapped underneath a towel, needing to be combed before it gets dry and unmanageable. My plan for today was to attend my grandson's last day of school party, but since my daughter has not stopped by (the party begins at 9 a.m. CST), I guess I won't be doing that. After I tackle this head and get dressed, if I'm moved to do the comparison I will.

The party is from 9 to 11 so I may just go up to the school alone. I'm thinking my daughter must have stayed up there with him. I need Kodak moments for his pre-K last day of school... It's a granny thing. So if I do the comparison today, it will probably begin it around noon my time, 1 yours.
:-)

dbgBlack Doll Enthusiasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07534871309015210903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6047557606653771556.post-83656114654390848932011-05-31T07:41:00.866-05:002011-05-31T07:41:00.866-05:00Will this comparison take place today? I inadvertently or perhaps intentionally omitted the image of Hasbro's reproduction of the 1960s AA GI Joe with Kung Fu Grip, featured in a previous blog. I think I will use him for my GI Joe-Barbie height comparison since he is relatively easy to remove from the box.

I was unaware of the Navajo Windtalker GI Joe until now. Of course your post piqued my interest. I searched eBay and found a few listings for Navajo Joe with a reasonably priced, buy it now auction for one that includes two additional never-removed-from-box Joes. Check them out here if you're interested.

dbgBlack Doll Enthusiasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07534871309015210903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6047557606653771556.post-30465456215945731952011-05-31T07:12:43.082-05:002011-05-31T07:12:43.082-05:00I enjoyed seeing your GI Joe collection. I thought perhaps that particular figure was smaller than others. I'll still do a comparison. A blog may not result but I need to know firsthand if all Hasbro's so-called 12-inch figures are not exactly 12 inches, and if this is the case, why not.

dbgBlack Doll Enthusiasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07534871309015210903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6047557606653771556.post-61351640347193463952011-05-31T06:35:48.616-05:002011-05-31T06:35:48.616-05:00You don't even need to debox, just go back and...You don't even need to debox, just go back and look at my DJ Rohan post next to Christie.
