Doesn't it get you all excited to see people and dolls gathered together in one place, even if only in video form? I would love for there to be more doll shows here with dolls that "I" like. Unfortunately, this place is doll-show destitute so I don't bother to go to any and traveling out of state to them is not something I choose to do anymore.

dbgBlack Doll Enthusiasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07534871309015210903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6047557606653771556.post-75855107694938613192013-10-15T01:32:48.746-05:002013-10-15T01:32:48.746-05:00"I only have about 230 Barbies." That se..."I only have about 230 Barbies." That seems like a huge collection to me and she calls it modest. This reminds me of the doll interview Ms. Leo did awhile back and everyone was like, "oh, I have 200 to 300," and I was all, "WHAT?!" At that time I couldn't understand how someone could have so many. I totally get it now though as my own numbers climb into the ranks.

I enjoyed that interview very much and also the videos of the doll show. I was looking up doll shows near my area (or 3 hours away) and thinking about going to some. Those videos really make me want to go now.

Thanks for sharing that!Muffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06121187068323359131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6047557606653771556.post-82690203481693553962013-10-14T20:34:08.701-05:002013-10-14T20:34:08.701-05:00Thanks for sharing the link to profiles of other c...Thanks for sharing the link to profiles of other collectors. I thoroughly enjoyed reading them. In fact, I spent a great deal of my evening reading the interviews. This was a great way to end my night as I prepare for work tomorrow. You are such a jewel for sharing. : ). Nice to read that Ms. ...Thanks, for the link, DBG!

Nice to read that Ms. Howard also grew up watching the tv program, Julia. That was a rare program featuring an intelligent AND professionally employed Black widow and mother at that time. I greatly admired Diahann Carroll as Julia although I NEVER wanted to become a nurse. I had Julia paper dolls by Whitman and Mattel's Julia fashion doll although the latter did not look ANYTHING like the actress.

Again, thanks for sharing the link.D7anahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15497306465109590188noreply@blogger.com
