As she was upon arrival. |
She is 16 inches tall, and I love every inch of Cozy Coat & Dressy Dress Lizette!
During one of Wilde Imagination's sales back in January or earlier this month, I ordered this doll. She remained in the unopened shipper until this past weekend when I finally found the time to open the box and give her a thorough examination.
Still in the box for all of two minutes, I took another in-box photo of Cozy Coat... Lizette. |
Her fashion is much better than I expected and I was surprised (not having read the full description before ordering) that her wig is removable. She is described by the Wilde Imagination folks as follows:
Honey-toned Lizette arrives with a swappable wig of mink tresses in a classic style and brown inset eyes peeking out behind thick lashes. Her delightfully feminine ensemble includes a darling pink and brown long-sleeved dress beneath a tender pink multi boucle coat just sparkling with sequins. Paired with pink tights, booties, gloves matching her dress and a fuzzy faux fur scarf in soft pink, Lizette is cozy and dressy all at once! LE 1000Before joining her sister-Lizettes, my sixth Lizette took the following photos to model her complete ensemble:
Display stand included.
Instead of wearing her animal print gloves that match the fabric of her dress, Lizette opted to hold them. |
Lizette's pale pink faux fur scarf and her coat keep her nice and cozy. |
Will six be enough? I am not sure, especially since Bold Move will be released soon. Time and sales will tell with "sale" being the deciding factor.

I like Bold Move too! This one is super cute, though. I saw her in the catalog but I had no idea she had such a cute dress under that coat.
ReplyDeleteHi RM1987,
DeleteThe dress and coat are much nicer than I expected. The wig on Bold Move will probably be the reason I do not order that one. It reminds me of the wig used on the 1st Lizette which was pretty unruly. Hopefully the quality will be better on Bold Move's wig.

She reminds me of a young Cher! Well, if Cher was being dressed by Nolan Miller or Bob Mackie as a teen, lol.
ReplyDeleteInteresting connection, Muff. Bob Mackie did dress Cher as a doll for Mattel. I think Cher would not be as fully clothed as Lizette always is, however.

I really like the thickness of the coat - it's hard to hit the balance of realistic thickness versus excessively puffy at this scale, but this one does it perfectly!
ReplyDeleteHeh, and I almost said that six is the perfect number, but then I clicked through to the photo of Bold Move and I'm not so sure (she's gorgeous!).
Hello jSarie,
DeleteLizette's coat also has a pink sateen lining, which adds to the quality and aids in getting it on and off. Overall, I am really pleased.
I think a good sale will be the deciding factor on whether BM makes #7 or not. I never pay full price for these (or most dolls). I wait for sales and hope for free shipping in addition. If the doll sells out before that happens, then "it's oh well for me." I am still on the fence about the quality of BM's hair.

I really like this one. Her outfit is gorgeous! I need to add one to my collection.
ReplyDeleteThanks, GG. Sorry for the delayed reply. I am just now seeing your comment. For some reason your comments rarely are sent to my in box. I usually stumble upon them when I return to a post to add a reply to another comment.

Her outfit and coat (with matching gloves) is killer! Bold Move is a cutie pie, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Vanessa,
DeleteI have to give it to Tonner -- his face sculpts are usually quite alluringly beautiful and the fashions are impeccable! This Lizette's fashion is so well coordinated, like all her others. The gloves add a very special touch of class.
