Integrity Toys 2015 Cinematic Convention-Exclusive Tobias Alford

The doll that arrived in this box is a convention-exclusive collectible from the Integrity Toys Cinematic Convention held in Long Beach, California October 21-24, 2015.  The back of the box notes this.  His head shot image is shown next.
Color Infusion Style Lab Tobias Alford

This is just a quick post to share first photos of 1 of 2 Integrity Toys 2015 Cinematic Convention dolls that were must-haves for me. The first one to arrive is Tobias Alford.  Two words:  Love him!  Check out that strong jawline, those lusciously full lips, and those dark brown bedroom eyes.

The handsome Tobias will remain in his box until I find something suitable for him to wear.

Playscale women might get all starry eyed over Tobias, but he will not be wearing the separately sold Stars in Your Eyes suit shown here.  I will have to find something more classically conservative or casual for him.

Finding shoes to fit him might pose a problem as his feet are huge!  An extra pair of hands with fingers in different positions is attached to the inside of box.

His black short hair is flocked and forms a widow's peak hairline.

Tobias stands a full 13 inches tall with articulation underneath his pecs, at elbows, wrists, ankles and the other usual areas (neck, upper arms, and upper legs).  He has a pleasingly warm caramel complexion which is very similar to Color Infusion Janay's skin tone.  The two would make a lovely couple, but Tobias has his mind focused on the next doll to arrive whose identity will be revealed in a subsequent post.

Stay tuned.

  1. I really, really...REALLY wish Mattel would care as much about the Ken line as Barbie. Maybe then...they'd expand him for more diversity.

Tobias is gorgeous! Definitely giving me a you Harry Belofonte.

    1. Expansion of the Ken line would be nice. Ken and friends have always been an afterthought for Mattel.

I can see Belafonte in Tobias now that you've mentioned it, Tracy India.

  2. Congratulation on getting this guy! He is really handsome. As far as shoes for him, some of the Ken shoe will fit him, but I usually use action figure shoes for the IT guys. I used to get them from Minibarbie, but haven't seen them on line for a while. I also bought a bunch of shoes from Infirmary Joe before they shut down.

    1. Thank you, Phyllis. I have purchased many things for males and females from Minibarbie but it has been a while.

I will have to see if have Ken shoes on hand that will fit him. I tried one pair of sneakers, but they do not fit. I have my eyes on a particular outfit for him which comes with shoes. Hopefully I can purchase it for a price that is less than what I have been seeing on eBay.

  3. I am waiting for him to arrive. I do wish Mattel would put more into their males, including articulation. Action figure shoes are not cheap, but since men tend to have less pairs of shoes than females, you only need to invest in a few options to get him something on his feet.

    1. That's true about not having to invest in as many shoes for the males, Janainah. I have so many males, however. If I choose to redress one, then I either have to do some shoe swapping or purchase another pair.

    1. The actual dolls are always nice to see in photographs or in person if you're the owner. :-) I am happy his complexion has more color than the prototype photo illustrates. I have since looked at vintage photos of Harry Belafonte and now believe as Tracy suggested that Tobias is channeling the star.

    1. Thanks, GG. Did you go to the convention? If I had gone, I probably would have grabbed two Tobias dolls as well at the convention price.

IT offered some other nice dolls during the convention. I would love to own Nu Face Nadia, but she's too pricey for me right now.

  9. Sweeeet!!! He is very nice. I even love the suit they had him in, but I'm turning into a runway girl, and that is definitely a fashion forward suit. For a minute I considered adding him, but will probably let him pass me by.

    1. He is even better in person, Vanessa. I played around with things on hand trying to dress him without success. He's too tall for most pants. He can, however, wear a pair of black Ken loafers. I believe they came with Ken's black and pink plaid tux. At least he has shoes for now. :-)

  10. I just noticed this post! So are his feet larger than most IT males?
