    1. Thanks, Roxanne. That is my hope as well -- that the doll is made and that everyone who desires one is able to purchase it.

    1. Thank you Ms. Q. If you don't mind sharing the link and asking others to sign, it would be appreciated.

I hope the doll becomes a reality and that it is an actual portrait of her.

  9. Thank you providing the LINK for this petition. I posted it on BarbieCollector.com and wouldn't you guess people wanted to ARGUE over it. #NEGATIVE I guess I shouldn't be surprised but a little heart broken. If you dont' want this doll then don't sign the petition but NO need to argue. I posted it there because I thought I could reach more doll people. Boy, was I WRONG.

I signed it RIGHT away and have always thought that Gabby should have a doll. Dominique as well and now Simone but since Mattel has the one of kind Gabby why NOT?! I wish Gabby all the luck in the world. She is an amazing role model!

    1. Hi Kia,

Thank you so much for posting the link to the petition on the Barbie message board at TheBarbieCollection. com. I wanted someone to post it there. I am no longer a member of the Barbie Fan Club, so I don't have access. I'm sorry that doing so brought out the ugliness in the character of some people on the board. Please don't be heartbroken over it. This is our reality. There will always be those who have to spew venom when it is absolutely not necessary to do so.

Thank you again for signing and for sharing the link.

  11. I missed out on getting an Ava Duvernay Doll, but I hope Mattel sees this petition and offers Gabby's doll for sale, including the gym mat and balance beam. I would love for Mattel to do a Final Five doll line with all the members of the team especially Simone Biles! Once again I love your site and get so much information from it, thanks!

    1. There are over 350 signatures on the petition and it took less than two months to get these. This should be a clear sign to Mattel that a desire exists for this doll. I like your suggestion too, especially for a Biles doll.
