When last seen, 2013 Color Infusion Janay wore a black and white striped tunic and black textured leggings (scroll down
here). After the chevron dress arrived from Shasha of
atelierniShasha, we made time for another photo shoot.
|
Janay styles and profiles the chevron dress, which shows off her long, shapely legs. |
As evidenced above, Janay looks stunning in the chevron dress. We wanted to see where the length would fall on shorter legs. Guess who volunteered.
|
Halle models the chevron dress. |
We all agree they both wear it well and lengthwise, it appears to fall in the same upper thigh area on both.
Janay tried on her slip dress next, but we found it to be a little short. So she refused to be photographed wearing it. (She can be a diva, too). Once again, Halle volunteered to model it.
|
Halle models the slip dress made in beach colors that match her PopLife Christie jewelry. |
Since the slip dress is the perfect length for Halle, Janay allowed her to keep it. Halle wears a pair of pewter Mixis shoes, which are a little long on her, but they work well with the dress.
Happy to have finally received a redress, Halle returns to her chair with other shelved playscale dolls. Janay continues mixing and matching.
Yellow tunic combinations:
|
The yellow tunic pairs well with the royal blue sparkly leggings and Janay's own royal blue pumps. |
|
Here she tries on gray leggings and black high heels. |
|
In the same color combination as before, Janay decides to sit a bit. |
White Tunic:
|
White tunic with gray leggings and black high heels |
|
Taking a risk with four different colors, Janay adds a yellow belt to the white tunic worn over hot pink leggings with her blue pumps. |
She realizes the versatility of the white tunic and decided to skip modeling it with other leggings.
Gray tunic combos:
|
Gray on gray with black boots and faux diamond choker |
|
More splashes of color are done with gray tunic, yellow belt, animal print leggings, and black heels. |
|
Same combination as before but with borrowed jewelry from Darla Daley (earrings, bracelet and belt made by Shasha). |
|
Janay and Darla await the arrival of another friend. |
Until the next redressing session, Janay now stands on the corner of my desk with her current BFF, Darla Daley, who has borrowed Janay's felt hat, faux diamond earrings and choker.

Janay looks wonderful in all of her fashions! And I love her shoes! The boots look much better on her than they do in the package. That slip dress is a good fashion for Halle. My favorite fashion here is the chevron dress.
ReplyDeleteYour dolls on the shelf seem much calmer now.
Thanks, Roxanne! Janay is such a lovely doll that it doesn't take much for her to look good. I am so pleased with the wardrobe I am building for her. She needs more shoes, however.
DeleteI agree that Halle needed the slip dress more.
I had to move Bob from the shelf where Halle sits. He kept falling, which was the reason he lost his head originally. He is actually with Calista and her BFF Briana Joy now.
I thought the arrival of another doll would give me someone to wear the chevron dress, but I am not sure she is staying. Stay tuned.

Hi Debbie, the first dress looks so familiar... :-D. It looks great with the boots, I have to try that too. Janay looks lovely in all the combinations. Halle looks lovely too in her new dress, the shoes go great with it. Thank you for the fashion show!
ReplyDeleteHi Night Owl,
DeleteI enjoyed seeing your lovely ladies in the chevron dress earlier this week. Isn't it wonderful?
Glad you enjoyed the fashion show!

Love the photo shoot, Deb! Janay looks so sexy in that Chevron dress, I must say! Among the tunic-legging combos, my fave is the gray tunic-animalprint legging and yellow belt. Stunning mix! Thanks again for featuring my little garments here in your blog. Please allow me to share this link in Facebook... xoxo,

Hi Shasha,
DeleteI am thrilled that you enjoyed Janay's second photo shoot and my unusual play with colors. I am usually a pretty bland person when it comes to the colors I wear myself, but dolls bring out my inner "fierceness." Your help with choosing the color combinations for the tunics and leggings helped as well.
By all means, do share the link to this post on Facebook.
Thanks again!

Thank you, Deb! Haha I can totally relate with wearing bland clothing - my mom used to think I'd never get married because of my choice of colors, or the lack of it! And my fashionable sibling, said my closet was too "black, white and off-white". hahhaha Truly, our dolls bring out that fierce gal hiding somewhere :D:D
DeleteWell, well, well. If I were the other dolls I would be asking, "Who is this Janay chick and why does she get so many clothes?" You have probably already heard that from them. She looks fab in all of her new outfits. As for the slip dress, could you roll it up on Janay to make it knee length? Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteI know, right, Vanessa? I'd be so jealous of Janay, too.
DeleteI didn't think about rolling the waist of the slip dress to shorten it for Janay. Great idea, but I am afraid Halle would not be pleased. Don't want to get her all riled up.

Very lovely clothes. I agree with Vanessa on the possible reaction from the other dolls on the shelf. However, Janay does pull it off nicely and looks great in everything shown!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Phyllis!
DeleteThe others will get over it. They have all had their new-doll attention, maybe not as much, but they have had a fair share.

What a great selection of fashions! They all look fantastic, but I love the colours in the slip dress in particular.
ReplyDeleteIt really is difficult for me to choose a favorite combination. Janay looks so good in most everythinng.

The outfits are pretty! I especially love the gray on gray!
ReplyDeleteThanks, GG!

I love the tunics and gray animal print leggings.
ReplyDeleteShe is still wearing the combo you like best, MDW.
DeleteI was hoping to find her some new shoes now that the Integrity Gloss Convention has concluded. I am not sure that shoe packs for the Color Infusion dolls were offered this year, however. Guess I will buy the other one from last year from IT Direct.
