Children of America Dolls

I just found out about these 14-inch culturally diverse dolls that have vinyl heads, arms, legs, and cloth bodies, designed by Mary Eubanks.  They are called Children of America.  Each doll has its own story.

Priced $39.95 on the company's website where a slide show, on the home page, includes a full-length image of each doll with its story.

    1. You're welcome, jSarie. I learned about them after reading an article and adding my comment at the end of the article for the chance to win a doll. Here's the link.

  2. Thanks Debbie! I can't buy any big dolls right now, but I enjoyed the video. Mary looks familiar. I wonder if I have seen her at a doll show.

  3. Thanks for sharing! Is this a doll you would want to add to your collection even if you didn't win one?

  4. GG - Mary Eubanks' name sounds familiar to me.

Muff - This is a company that I want to support because the mission is in line with my opinion that all girls should have adequate dolls-like-me representation. Will I buy Brianna? If I do, it will be for my niece. If I don't, I am still supporting the company by taking my time to make others aware of their products.

Note that all dolls I write about are either part of my collection, will become part of my collection, or they are dolls that I feel are noteworthy for a variety of reasons.

  5. It's wonderful to see new doll companies providing diverse dolls. It's also great to see that all of her dolls aren't from one mold. She seemed to really capture some of the unique Asian features. I know not all Asians have the same type features, but this is one of the few dolls I've seen with such distinct features.

    1. I like the individuality in the dolls as well, Vanessa. Diversity means so much more than skin tone and hair texture.

  6. I love your last line in the above comment about "diversity meaning so much more than skin tone and hair texture." I couldn't agree more! It's nice to find about a new line like this as I am seeing another line I love become discontinued (Hearts for Hearts). Thanks so much for sharing this video!

    1. Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed the video, Farrah lily. I think it illustrates Ms. Eubanks' passion.

I am not happy to hear that Hearts 4 Hearts dolls are being discontinued.
