Prologue: Hakeem and Chandra met at the local community college where they are both freshmen. Both still live at home with their parents. They have been officially dating for a few weeks and are meeting each other's parents for the first time. (In this photo story, there are no elaborate scenes. It was difficult enough for me to position the dolls, photograph them for the story, and insert the dialogue bubbles. I hope photos and text will suffice.)
Stay tuned for part 2.

Good job on the story! Hmm, with Hakeem's comment at the end there, I am looking forward to seeing Chandra meet his parents!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Phyllis!
DeleteDid you read my reply to your question about the Ashley Graham Barbie?

This was a fun post, Debbie: D
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Get Out! yet but Hakeem's thoughts at the end have me worried. (Especially knowing how much body swapping goes on in the dolly world I wonder if Whoopie's "Girl, you're in danger" gif isn't warranted for Chandra.)
Hi Maricha,
DeleteI haven't seen Whoopi's gif. I will have to look for it. I thought about the Get Out scenario, but I am not into horror (although some have not described Get Out a horror flick), so I would never go there with my dolls.
I hope part 2 is as equally fun for you. (It was fun for me while writing the stories in my head, but was not fun photographing the dolls to act them out.)

Rats, couldn't get it to appear but the gif is of the scene in Ghost where Whoopie's clairvoyant character warns the newly widowed Molly that her husband's murderer is still out there and she's in danger.
DeleteThe link work. I was able to see the Whoopi gift and laughed out loud while viewing it. Thanks, Maricha!

Ut ohhhhh! LOL Anyway, I think they make a sweet couple.
ReplyDeleteWhen I looked around the doll room to find a girlfriend for Hakeem, Chandra stood out like a sore thumb. I'm not sure if it's the clothing she wears or the fact that where I had him displayed, prior to wanting to pair him with someone, was right beside her. :-) Funny how things work out unplanned.

I love that Chandra's parents are so cool. I'm a little worried about Hakeem's parents, but anxious to see part 2. Should be fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to read, Vanessa!

Chandra's parents are real cool. Hakeem is very mannerable. He is making a great impression. I enjoyed your episodes. Please keep them coming!!ππΎ
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, GG, your comments never feed through to my email. I see them only when I navigate here from a notification of another reader's comments.
DeleteYes, her parents are super cool. As long as her friends treat her with respect, particularly the male friends, Daddy is cool, calm, and collected. But don't get him angry.
:-)

Oh, intrigue! Looking forward to meeting Hakeem's parents and how Chandra finds them.
ReplyDeleteHope you've had a chance to read part 2 by now, D7Ana. Hakeem's parents have been introduced.
