The above fashion pack contains two fashions made for the now discontinued 4Ever Best Friends dolls by MGA Entertainment. I purchased the fashion pack specifically for the school girl fashion. Because I do not own 4Ever Best Friends dolls, I had no idea which doll would have the opportunity to wear it. I still had to have it.
The first doll to try on the school girl get up was Goddess. She loved it, even though she had to wear a pair of her own shoes.
Goddess rocks the school girl look. |
Once Goddess entered the classroom (because of the mini skirt and crop top) she was sent home! Back at home she continued to wear the fashion until I scanned the doll room and found the following two girls who looked like perfect models for both fashions.
Kiki and Sami are perfect models for the 4Ever Best Friends fashions. |
The girls wanted to show off their backpacks. |
As shown above, they are now wearing their 4Ever Best Friends fashions and shoes which fit them to a T. I am so glad I scanned the doll room. Goddess wears what she wore previously, her Live, Love, and Laugh top, black leggings, and black sandals.

Hi Debbie, reading this post was real fun. I could easily imagine happy Goddedd entering the classroom in her new outfit without thinking any harm. I could easily imagine the person in charge rolling their eyes and using the usual ' Young lady! This isn't how you dress to come to this school.' Etc etc ...
ReplyDeleteI could also imagine how happy you were to find Kiki and Sami ! The perfect dolls for those lovely outfits. I could easily imagine how happy these little cuties are that you have remember them, found them and given them some new clothes.
Have fun Debbie!

The fact that this post was enjoyable and encouraged you to imagine far beyond my written words pleases me Arlette. Thanks for your positive comment.

I did think the skirt was way too short on Goddess. So I cracked up when you said she was sent home. I also think it is cool that you took two dolls you like and dyed them to make them work for you.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Janainah. I used to be a very frustrated collector and would opt to dyeing white dolls brown in the absence of manufactured black ones. I haven't done this in years, however. If a black one isn't made, I do without. :-) I have more than enough and am less frustrated by what doesn't exist.

I love what you did to the dolls. I purchased and sol them several years ago at our doll show. I remember purchasing them at Walmart for a very low price. I thought that Kiki had the prettiest red hair and cutest face. I never thought to do what you did with them though. That was a great way to get some lovely dolls of color.
ReplyDeleteP.S. The outfit comes first. :-)
That should be sold.
DeleteBecause I went to public school, I just heard about the dollar rule. A friend of mine to me that if a dollar bill was put on the top of you knee, the hem of your uniform skirt was to stop there. My friend didn't go to school in Philly. Riding the bus you see what girls wear. There was not a dollar rule here! Just pneumonia! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love the outfit on all the dolls. The dolls that are out get to try on the outfits first. I can spend the better part of an afternoon just trying on a new outfit. That is a great afternoon. Congrats!
Thanks for the congrats, Ms Leo. All the girls in this post have again been redressed. I enjoy redressing whenever time permits.
DeleteThe dollar bill rule is a good way to gauge or set the appropriate skirt length. Since the late 1990s/early 2000s, most public schools here have required students to wear uniforms. I haven't personally seen girls wearing short uniform dresses or skirts. Dress codes probably do dictate the length restrictions in X amount of inches above the knee. I vaguely recall it being no more than 2 inches above the knee when my daughter was in school, and this was before uniforms were required at most schools.
Those clothes are very similar to Liv wear by Spin Master. They must have used the same designer because if you hadn't said it was MGA I would have sworn it was SM.
ReplyDeleteNow that you mention it, this fashion does have that Liv vibe. It is also very well made with two outfits in one package including two pairs of shoes.
