Doll Purchases in Review Part 3

eBay purchases November 22, 28, and December 2, 2020

In this series of blog posts, I am reviewing dolls and doll-related items purchased on eBay that date back to 2020. This is post 3 in the series and includes the last of my 2020 eBay auction wins/purchases. The links to the previous posts in this series are at the end of this post.

Creatable World doll by Mattel with an ebony complexion

On November 22, 2020, I purchased an ebony-complexioned Creatable World doll. This is my second Creatable World doll by Mattel. The first one was purchased several months before. I found these dolls to be fun to redress and rewig. It was a novel idea for Mattel to create non-gender-specific dolls that a child or adult can dress in up to 100+ ways (according to their marketing claim). I wrote about this doll here. Redressing the 2nd and 1st dolls by mixing and matching their clothes and wigs was shared in this post. The first Creatable World doll was shared here. Creatable World dolls have been discontinued by Mattel.

Ken clone

On November 28, 2020, I won a black Ken clone. His name is Steve. I did not write a blog post dedicated to Steve, but he is included in a post with other dolls that can be read here

Sue Johnson doll

After watching an episode of The Talk and their interview with Tatyana Ali, I searched eBay for dolls by Sue Johnson and won this doll on December 2, 2020. That doll's blog post can be read here, which includes a video of The Talk segment that inspired the purchase.

    1. Thanks for the information about the new Asian line of dolls. My blog is specifically devoted to Black dolls or Afrocentric dolls, but I am always happy to learn about new dolls of color.
