Those secret sale prices on eBay

The title of this post was the subject of a phishing email I received that I immediately reported to spoof@ebay.com.  eBay confirmed in their standard form letter that the email did not originate from them.  So if you receive something similar, know that "those secret sale prices on eBay" are nonexistent.  The phishing email is copied below wherein I replaced my information with an asterisk.  Links were removed as well:

I was both entertained and infuriated by these crooks:  Entertained by their clever yet deceitful way to appear legitimate (playing on most people's desire to get something for literally nothing) and infuriated because they thought I fall into this group.

eBay Cash Back is Back through Ebates

Are you an eBay buyer?  Are you already registered with Ebates.com?  If you answered, "yes" to both questions, you are eligible to receive up to 3.0% cash back when you link to eBay.com through Ebates.com prior to completing your eBay purchases.

If you are not already a registered Ebates.com user, you can register here.  Then each time you win an auction on eBay, link to eBay prior to paying for the auction to receive up to 3.0 cash back, which will be mailed by check directly to you or deposited in your Paypal account.  Cash back is issued quarterly and the percentages vary from merchant to merchant.  That information is always disclosed on Ebates when you link to the merchants' site.

 Before I make any online purchases, I go to Ebates.com to determine if the merchant is an Ebates affiliate.  If they are, I link to their site through Ebates prior to making the purchase.  Every little bit helps!

Weird Dream

It's weird to dream about dolls... particularly those you do not collect. I had the weirdest dream last night that took a while to remember. But I knew there were dolls involved.

In the dream, I had taken a trip and was at an airport or other transportation terminal with my luggage, which was inspected. There were two dolls in it, types that I do not collect. I have no idea how they got in the luggage. End of dream.

This morning I inspected a box and some trash bags of stuff that I had intended to drop off at the Salvation Army Store. Instead, they will be placed on the front porch today for Arc of Texas to pick up. During the inspection, I found a porcelain doll in one box that someone gave me years ago. That doll made me remember another that someone else gave me, years ago. These were not the dolls I remember seeing in the dream, but they are types I do not collect.

I usually keep all gifts, but at some point, you just have let things go for others to use or value more. So, off to Arc of TX they must go... or eBay.
