Up Close and Personal with the Prettie! Girls! OWP

I just accepted a Facebook friend request from Sarah Daniel, wife of Trent Daniel.  They are entrepreneurial and creative forces in the One World Doll Project, the parent company of the Prettie Girls! OWP dolls, designed by Stacey McBride-Irby.

The most recent video of the dolls aired on ABC 13/KTRK in Houston, Texas.  The video provides an up close and personal view of the dolls and additional information that collectors and parents will enjoy learning.

  2. The election doll cost so much I had kind of tuned the Prettie Girls out, thinking I would not be able to afford them but I am excited to hear the price point will be around $17 and glad to see that the bodies are articulated. Now I am looking forward to the Prettie Girls launch with great anticipation!

  3. So awesome to see an AA owned company taking on this challenge. Long overdue in my opinion. If they fail due to lack of support, I will _________ the next person who complains about Mattel not providing us with dolls of color. You can fill in the blank. Examples of words to use; strangle, blast, tell off, etc. I personally will buy all 4 of these dolls. If I can run around town like a mad woman spending $20 on Barbie Basics, I can run around town spending $18 on these.

  4. This is wonderful news. I agree with Vanessa, if I can take the time to find AA Mattels then I can purchase all of the too. I've already decided they will be aunts, godnmothers etc for my famlies. I can't wait!

  6. Frannie, Limbe Dolls, Vanessa, Brini, and D7Ana, you are all welcome.

Vanessa, I agree, we need to offer as much support to this company as we do to Mattel and other companies, even if it is just purchasing one doll. We can also help spread the word to other collectors and parents. Feel free to share the link to this blog or share the video on your blog.

  7. I was definitely planning to link to this post in the next few days. I am supposed to be taking a blog break for a couple of days. Of course I spent a good 4 - 5 hrs today catching up on the blogs and doll boards.

    1. Hi D7ana,

It stands to reason that the Obama Loves Sophia 2012 dolls will probably no longer be made and it is just as well. He's been elected to a second term and no longer needs Sophia's support. I have no information about the other Prettie Girls, but hope that all who preordered will receive them.

For the two Election dolls I ordered, I recently received a credit through my credit card company.
