Prettie Girls dolls, Lena and Valencia (stock photo captured from the Prettie Girls website)

According to the following Facebook status update posted today, Lena (African American) and Valencia (Hispanic) from the Prettie Girls doll line, designed by Stacey McBride-Irby, are available for ordering now!

The following text is from Facebook (under an image of Stacey and Trent Daniel in a warehouse setting with shipping cartons upon shipping cartons of dolls in the background.  Each holds one of the packaged dolls in their hands):
The time has finally come! This photo was taken this weekend at the fulfillment warehouse where the Prettie Girls! dolls had just arrived from China! You know what that means!!!!

PRETTIE GIRLS! DOLLS ARE NOW ON SALE and will ship immediately!. Get yours at www.weareprettiegirls.com — with Stacey Mcbride and Trent T. Daniel.

The current price is lower than I expected. The other Prettie Girls dolls (Alexie, Kimani, and Dahlia) are not yet available, but again Lena and Valencia are; and according to the status update, will ship immediately!

  2. This is great news! I love their looks and I'm glad they are finally available. I wish the wrist were articulated, but I'm just happy they were finally able to get them out. Hopefully Limbe dolls will see this. I know she will be over the moon.

    1. I am glad they are finally available too, Vanessa. I don't think I have waited as long for any other doll.

I hope Paulette will see this, too.

Wrist articulation would be nice! Of course I will share actual photos of the one I ordered after it arrives.

  3. Thanks for sharing this exciting news! Which one did you get or are you getting them all? I'm thinking of going for Valencia first - and before, I had thought that I would pass on her. Then Kimani and Dahlia definitely and maybe Alexie and Lena. I love the variation of their complexions.

    1. I purchased Lena. I was tempted to buy Valencia too and may eventually get her, but decided on one of the two available. Lena won.

I hope the others are released before March 2014. Kimani and Dahlia are definately on my wish list.

I appreciate the complexion variations, too! Each one is different.

    2. Cool. I look forward to seeing your photos. Since the company is in Texas, I suppose you will be among the first to get them. Squealing for you ;-D

I'm going to share this information at my blog - the more that know, the better, yes? And maybe more buyers will have the other dolls released sooner. Ohhhh. Yippee!

    1. I hope the dolls make it to local markets so more children can have an opportunity to own them.

In addition to their own website, the dolls will be available through dollgenie.
