Prettie Girls Lena in Barbie Denim Pants for Vanessa

Because of the unusually wide cut of the floral patterned denim Barbie pants shown packaged above, left, they swallow the thin frame of my newest Fashionista.  I opted to allow SIS Chandra to wear them along with the denim jacket as seen here.

After reading my previous post, Vanessa wanted to know if the jeans would fit the Prettie Girls.  In answer to this question, Prettie Girls Lena illustrates the fit in the photos below.

The pants do fit Lena but the waist falls a little low, exposing the top of her molded-on panties, as seen better in the next photo.
Lena's panty top is exposed.  Wearing a longer top will remedy this.  Note that the denim jacket fits, but I did not properly align the Velcro closure.

A tunic paired with the jeans provides the needed waistline coverage.
Lena shows off her curves in this profile photo.

Due to the size of Lena's bottom, the lower portion of the Velcro closure does not meet properly.  Again, a longer top will camouflage this.
So the answer to Vanessa's question is:  Yes, Prettie Girls can wear these jeans, but they will look better with a long top or bodysuit.

Texas A&M Ken Voucher Purchases

As reported last week on my Dolls for Sale blog, Target had an all-Barbie-toys sale of buy one at regular price and get one for 50% off.  With the $28 voucher received from Mattel to reimburse me for the flawed, irreplaceable Texas A&M Ken, I purchased the following Barbie items (click or tap images to enlarge).

Pink and white gingham blouse, denim skirt; two sun dresses; pink high heels, white high heels, faux straw handbag; retail price $12.99

Two fancy dresses with matching shoes and handbags, retail price $4.99 each

Regular price $12.99, includes two dresses, halter top and pants, tan purse, necklace, two pairs of shoes and a pink coffee cup

Two dresses, regular price $3.49 each

With the BOGO 50% off sale, these totaled $32.19.  After redeeming the voucher, my total was $4.19.

Thanks Texas A&M Ken.  Your flaws and Mattel's reimbursement allowed me to add these nice fashions and accessories to your girlfriend's friends' wardrobe.

Barbie Fashionistas Fashions From Target

These Target-exclusive Barbie Fashionistas dresses are $2.79 at Target this week. I purchased them for Daughter's childhood dolls.

I now have five dresses dresses made for the different dolls:  Sassy, Artsy, Sporty, Sweetie, and Cutie.

The dolls are also on sale this week at Target ($8) -- I paid $9.60 for the one I purchased at Big Lots last week that was reduced from their price of $12 for one day only!  Interestingly, Target's price for the dresses was also less than Big Lots's price and Big Lots is supposed to be a discount store!   What's up with that, Big Lots?
