Buyer Beware of LeBron James Ken Doll Scams

I am sharing (with the buyer's permission) photos of a so-called LeBron James Ken sold by a third-party seller on Walmart's website. The price was less than retail, but this is not an authentic Mattel product, and the body is spray-painted! 

This fake LeBron James Ken was passed off as a Mattel product by a Walmart.com independent seller.

Look at the misspelling of Barbie on the box and the uneven font.

And to add insult to injury, the body is spray-painted!!!!

Good grief! 

Buyers, please beware. Various websites are saturated with LeBron James Ken listings, and prices will vary. If the price is lower than retail, it is probably not authentic, but also know that dolls priced higher than retail could also be fakes. (The third-party Walmart seller of this fake had it listed for $60-something and later doubled the price.) Let's stay safe out here. Ask questions. Shy away from deals that appear too good to be true. There are plenty of crooks out there.
