According to my blog's statistics, Portrait Doll of Oprah as a Child, was one of yesterday's top viewed blogs.  After discovering this, I Googled "Oprah doll" just for kicks.

Featured in the December 2010 issue of O Magazine and on Oprah.com is a portrait doll of little Oprah by Andrea Arcello.  The doll is quite lifelike.  Except for its paler-than-Oprah's complexion, the doll captures little Oprah's essence.  View tje video, The Making of Little Oprah by Andrea Arcello by clicking/pressing the play arrow, below.

I Had to Share This Awesome Story

Someone suggested that I read the latest issue of O Magazine.  I haven't subscribed in years and initially said I probably would not buy it (browse it in the store, yes; buy it, no).  Curiosity got the best of me, so (knowing that a doll had to be the reason the the magazine was suggested reading) I googled "O Magazine doll."  The link that changed my initial inclination not to purchase the November December issue of O Magazine follows:

Portrait Doll of Oprah as a Child

Oprah was very surprised to receive a portrait doll from Marie Osmond. 

While looking for images of another doll on my various Sandisks, I found photographs taken when I viewed the November 9, 2007, Oprah Show.  During this "Osmond Family Tribute," Marie Osmond presented Oprah with a child-Oprah portrait doll.  The doll resembles a picture of Oprah as a little girl.

I watched the first airing or a portion of this particular show and wanted to capture the images, but was not swift enough with my camera during the first airing.  With camera in hand during the second airing, I snapped a series of photos of the presentation, which was watched on the TV in my doll room/office.  The overhead fluorescent light is reflected on several of the images along with shadows of my dolls and the mini blinds that cover the patio door.   Most of the photos follow:

...just like a new doll owner, she affectionately cuddles her new bundle of joy.
