The Ebony-Essence of Dolls in Black

Dear Black Doll Collecting Readers,

This post announces the creation of another blog designed to celebrate black doll artists and collectors through the publication of in-depth, usually multi-part articles.

As many of you know, I have written several articles for doll magazines in addition to three books about black dolls.  I have no desire to write another book (but who knows what the future holds in that regard) and writing additional articles for doll publications is not something high on my radar, particularly when few remain in circulation and those that remain continue to maintain a limited focus on black dolls.  So for those who enjoy reading about black dolls and the people who collect and make them, I hope you will follow The Ebony-Essence of Dolls in Black and enjoy it!

Rest assured that this blog, Black Doll Collecting, is not going anywhere.  Posts here will continue as frequently as they have in the past because posting to EEoDiB will be infrequent, perhaps only monthly or bimonthly.  Whenever the "Spirit" moves me to publish something there, I will.

Thanks in advance for following me here as well as there by either clicking the "Follow" button or by adding your email address to the "Follow by Email" field in the right sidebar.

Happy Labor Day to those who observe it.

Dolls Magazine Voices of the Industry

I have joined with others in the doll industry to share thoughts on doll collecting -- what's new, what's old, what's desired, tips on collecting, and other doll related subject matter. My blogs are geared toward the black-doll collecting audience, but are written for anyone's informative enjoyment.

Follow my Dolls in Black blogs for Dolls Magazine at the following link.

Thanks!
