So In Style Skating Fun Kara and Kiana

Mattel Stock Photo
So In Style Skating Fun Kara and Kianna have been seen in a West Coast Wal-Mart.  Kara appears to be fully articulated (elbows and knees).

In the above stock photo, Kara has gone super curly and has an open smile with the appearance of teeth.  I have seen a production photograph.  The hair on the produced dolls is less curly and Kara's mouth is closed, no teeth.   For those interested, hopefully this doll set along with the Grace and Courtney tennis duo will show up in your area soon.  (Production Grace and Courtney may or may not appear the same as the stock photo.)

This is something new on Mbili molds...
Debbie is she a release for 2013?
I hope we find it in Brasil also...
Even if I'm tired of this mold for myself,it could be a hot doll for others here specially the children...

    1. I'm with you Ms Leo...SUPER excited to see SIS with full articulation. I don't know if they will have the jointed torso but a few flickr contacts reported the hinged knees...which I prefer anyway.

I will definitely be purchasing Kara (don't currently have her) a Grace and I'm really hoping they make Trichelle with articulation too. :)

Thanks so much for posting this!!!

    2. Ms. Leo and Tracy - glad to see you too so pumped up about these dolls. I hope you are able to find them without any trouble.

I don't think Trichelle is included in this line -- Just Kara/Kianna, Grace/. Not sure why Mattel made that decision, but it is what it is.

  4. Wow is this Kara super gorgeous! I repeat Ms. Leo's declaration: I GOT to have her. I just love that hair!

On the other hand, I HATE that outfit. Purple and pink - yuck!

    Thanks for sharing, Debbie!

    1. Hey D7ana... the hair is not going to be as curly as shown in Mattel's stock photo. It's curly, but the curls are loose which gives it more length.

Pink and purple... I know. It's so overused.

  7. I find it cute they have miniature safety gear on them lol.

Would be a good message for those boys on fast bikes in flip flops and shorts... See, girls dress up properly LOL

  8. It would have been nice to have one of the SIS dolls with an open mouth. Oh well. I'm excited to see a revision from their first articulation when they were first introduced. The placement of the forearms was very awkward. Their clothes used to be a lot cooler when Stacy designed them. It will be nice to have another body option for the mid tone girls.

    2. Now I'm tempted to order the Grace and Courtney too. I didn't see them when I placed my first order. And right now I am getting Amazon Prime free for a month, so now is definitely the time to take advantage of such a good price. :) Thank you for the 2nd link!

    3. You're welcome, Cat. You and Vanessa have almost enabled me to buy both sets. I had no plans of buying either one.

  11. Dang it! I just ordered mine. Darn you Cat! Great price of $18.99 and I need those roller skates. I might not have been so tempted if they didn't have the "only 17 left" sitting there. Now there are 16. It's also on the Free Super Saving shipping after $25. My Kara will get the body. This Kara will probably be my Kara's sister. We need a curly haired Kara in town.

    1. LOL! That is a REALLY great price. I won't lie, I'm thinking of ordering 3 more just because these sets always end up so expensive after a little while. And who knows when we will get articulation in these skin tones again?! My Top Model Nikki is hoping to get the new body. I look forward to seeing what you do with your new set! (^_^)
