Future Redressing Fun for One, Maybe More

New dolly fashions from Shasha

Three beautifully presented envelopes arrived from the Philippines this week from Shasha of atelierniSHASHA.  Unfortunately for me, I have absolutely no time for doll play until after October 15th or shortly thereafter.  Color Infusion Janay's tribal chevron dress, which is Shasha's 2014 dress of the year, should be here by the time I am able to  go into full play mode.

The Reveal

Because I think tunics and leggings are nice wardrobe staples (for playscale females, certainly not for me), I ordered several.  I also purchased Shasha's 2013 dress of the year.  I had it made in beach colors.  I did order a tunic made from the black and white striped material used for last year's slip dress.

I am looking forward to mixing and matching these pieces; and perhaps, if Janay does not mind sharing, some of the others will have an opportunity to wear a piece or two.

Shortly after photographing the clothing, I noticed Halle's hand gesture (shown above) and wondered if this was her attempt to get my attention to let me know she's long overdue for a redress.  I know I didn't position her hands like this.  Maybe the others put her up to it.  See a full view of Halle and some of her co-conspirators below.

They all look a little guilty to me, as though they were secretly scheming something with Halle, whose hand gesture blew their cover.  Bob probably knows what's been going on.  Look at him, sitting in the corner, trying to look innocent.

  1. Oh, what beautiful clothing! I'll be glad when you have time for doll play again, so that some of your dolls can model these clothes.

As for your dolls on the shelf, it looks like most of them are looking towards Halle and smiling, as if they know what's going on. Not Terrence, though. He's looking at Bob like he knows what Bob is up to (secretly trying to take a peek up that big headed doll's short skirt). Personally, I don't think that Bob would do anything like that, but Terrence is looking at him as if he's thinking "Yeah, I was once your age...".

    1. Me too, Roxanne... I'll be so glad when I can indulge myself with doll play.

I did notice Terrence in the picture, but didn't suspect him of any foul play because he always wants to be the center of attention. As handsome as he is, it doesn't take much for him to get noticed. Now that you mention it though, he probably knows more about what went on than Bob. Of course Miss Side-Eye-Glancing PopLife Christie always appears to be in on something with her facial expression. I just know I had better keep my eyes on this bunch, especially since the shelf they're crammed in is immediately behind my personal work space.

    1. No, we can't blame Halle at all, Phyllis. I will allow her to try on or actually wear one of the new pieces, but I really like the Poplife Barbie fashion she wears. Her thinner (LIV) body fits it perfectly and I am not sure if I have any others with a thin enough body to fit that fashion. It would be shameful to store it. So Halle might just be left wearing it. She should be honored since the fashion comes with its very own chair. But no... not Halle. She's never satisfied.

  3. Hi Debbie, Shasha makes beautiful clothes, I follow her blog too and was thinking of ordering the 2014 dress too for my Barbies, it's a great design! Hahaha, your dolls are amazing, there's definitely something going on on that shelf LOL. Halle is so lovely, she would look great in the new clothes, although she looks fabulous in the outfit she's wearing :-).

    1. Hi Night Owl,

I agree, Shasha's clothing is beautiful. I love her work and have been pleased with all my purchases. I am looking forward to the arrival of the Chevron dress. I think it would probably look great on Halle, since the skirt seems rather short and Halle's legs are not as long as Color Infusion Janay's. I'll have to decide who wears it best after it arrives. So there is hope after all for Halle to get a redress.

  6. Congrats. Your Janay is going to be very happy with her beautiful Shasha fashions. I love the colors you chose.

That would be just like Halle to send out signals. She is such a fashion hog.

    1. Yes she is very happy and I am happy for her. I am also officially free to play, but too tired to do it today.

Halle can be a piece of work.
