Introducing the Stunning Claudette Gordon

Claudette Gordon is from the Gold Label Collection as indicated on the top of her black box.

Harlem Theater Collection Claudette Gordon, designed by Carlyle Nuera, is as stunning as I had imagined.  I have not deboxed her but wanted to share these initial photos taken immediately after her arrival.

She has such great facial bone structure.  Just look at those high cheeks and well-defined jawline.  I have not determined the real-life celebrity she resembles but she has a very familiar face.

This full-length photo illustrates Claudette's beautiful flapper-style dress with embroidered peacock feather design.  A silver standing microphone and doll stand are included.

Will there be a male counterpart?  The designer has hinted there will.  Only time will tell.  For now, I will continue to enjoy this fully-articulated beauty.

    2. She is an amazing doll! I saw her on the Barbie Collector website and knew that I had to have her. So excited for the rest of this series. I will most definitely be buying all of them.

Also, Whitney Houston. The doll looks familiar because she looks like Whitney Houston.

      From Canada with love! :)

    3. I look forward to the rest of the series, too, Hairless Cat. I may have to join the BarbieCollection Fan Club, now that you've mentioned the rest of the series, in hopes that at least one more doll will be released this year and I can use one of the quarterly rewards to discount the cost.

  3. Awesome! Love her face. I wasn't even aware she existed. Great that she's fully articulated, too. I hope they do produce a male. He would probably have to join the crew if and when he comes about.

    1. More dolls are definitely planned for this series. I hope at least one is a male. From TheBarbieCollection website:

"With the introduction of Claudette Gordon™ Barbie® Doll, designer Carlyle Nuera takes center stage as well. Claudette marks the premiere of Nuera’s first full collection — the new Harlem Theatre™ Collection...

"There will be even more to love, as Nuera finishes work on the rest of his collection. He promises more rich colors, fabrics, and textures that evoke the time period. “I've designed the next doll in the series, and I am so excited for her,” he says. “She will definitely be something bold and different.” He also teases the possibility of a male doll in the collection. “I think a male doll would add an interesting dynamic to the narrative of the series and give me an opportunity to dive into 1920s men’s fashion. We shall see!”

  4. She is as beautiful as on the promotion photo, her face is indeed gorgeous! She's definitely on my top ten list of "must have" Barbies :-). Oh, I hope there is a male in the making too, and hopefully with an equally gorgeous face sculpt!
