Suicidal Accessory

Puppy dangles from his leash in what appears to be a failed jump.

Part of Barbie Basics Look No. 02 Collection 001 accessory pack (and described as an accessory by Mattel), this little puppy has been a companion for a variety of dolls.  So in Style Grace is his current owner.  She and several other playscale dolls are displayed on top of a portable file cabinet that is positioned next to my work desk.  I must have bumped the cabinet when getting up from my chair at some point.

The big picture.

Upon returning to my desk, I noticed this little fellow dangling from the top of the file cabinet as though he tried to jump off.  I captured his failed jump and the following photo before rescuing him.

Rescued!  Grace is relieved.

  1. 😱 Glad you got the little fella. Good thing he didn't topple Grace too!

    1. That would have been disastrous had Grace toppled too. I can see the domino effect of several of the dolls lying face down trying to rescue the pup.

    1. I never thought about that, Arlette. :-) He might have been attempting to follow me.

    1. Yes, that was pretty close. Had his collar not been recently repaired, he probably would have succeeded and there's no telling when I would have finally discovered him missing from the leash, leading me to have to crawl around on all fours on the floor to find him. So I saved us both a bit of torture.

    1. Hi GG,

      I just noticed your comment.

Yes, some moments in time need to be captured in photos.

Dolls are the perfect decor, in my opinion.

  5. Poor puppy! I remember when this dog was included in the "accessories" pack and people were upset and saying that dogs are not accessories. That was way back when Paris Hilton was still in vogue.

    1. I remember that too. It is strange how some people care more for the well being of animals than they do humans.
