Found at Big Lots Today

Barbie Fashionistas Artsy #3 with dark hair and a Barbie fashion

I was hoping to find different dark skinned World Peacekeepers at a second Big Lots that I checked today during their all-day 20% off store wide sale, mentioned here.  Like the first store I visited earlier this month, this one had only white WPKs in stock.  I wonder if the company has discontinued the dark skinned guys.

The only things doll-wise I found were Fashionista Artsy #3 (to be used as a body donor later) and an inexpensive Barbie fashion to use on one of my daughter's childhood dolls whenever I get around to redressing them. This fashion was the only one that I do not already own that did not have Barbie written on it or Barbie's pink silhouette.

  1. That is so funny, I just got that same doll today at TRU, I had a coupon and got that doll plus two ken outfits free when I purchased two GI Joe's for my hubby. Great find. I am def gonna do a head swap.

  3. Great find at TRU Chynadoll. My TRU has moved a little farther out, so it's not a store that I can just pop in like I used to. I'm a little upset about the move, so I refuse to look at their sales ads. I'll get it over. I guess I have no other choice.

    D7ana - You're welcome!

  4. I just blogged about my Big Lots experience today. I saw lots of fashionistas (including this one), LIV dolls, and Justin Bieber dolls. I left them all in the store because Big Lots has lost their mind. When did they start thinking they were Walmart or Target? The price of their dolls is more than Walmart and Target. This is the new Arsty that sells for $10-$11 in Walmart. Why is is $12 at Big Lots. It seems like someone said just slap $12 on everything and let's see if people notice. I miss those days when Big Lots was actually a close-out store. As for the WPK. Based on my experience today, I think that what they are selling is leftover dolls. They just didn't have any stock to speak of. Sorry for the complaining. I try not to do that too often,(unless it's Mattel). Quiet D7ana!

  5. You're right about Big Lots' prices. They really do need to put the pipe down before they price their dolls. In the past couple of years or more their prices have been at retail or more than retail, which is why their doll stock does not move. After the 20% discount, Artsy was $9.60, which is why I didn't mind buying it for the body. The dress will probably be used for another doll.

I'm sorry your stores didn't have any WPKs other than the one you purchased.
