School Dazed Lizette Dionne

On Saturday, March 23, 2013, the Motor City Doll Club (Detroit, Michigan), held a luncheon to benefit the Horizons-Upward Bound (HUB) Program of Cranbrook Schools located in Bloomfield Hills, MI.

According to their website, HUB’s mission is to prepare students from the Detroit Metropolitan area with limited opportunities to enter and succeed in post-secondary education.

School Dazed Lizette Dionne was one of the souvenir dolls from the MCDC luncheon.  As an absentee attendee, my souvenir Lizette arrived last week.
School Dazed Lizette, souvenir doll from MCDC luncheon, March 23, 2013, sitting pretty.

Lizette's English-style schoolgirl uniform of navy blue blazer piped in green, long-sleeved white shirt, white vest, navy blue bow tie, belted blue/green plaid pleated skirt, white over-the-knee socks accented with a navy blue side bow, and black closed toe high-heel shoes is very appropriate for the luncheon theme: Education is the Key to Our Future.

Upon arrival, School Dazed Lizette received a warm Texas welcome from Essential Lizette Dionne who arrived in January 2012.

School Dazed Lizette is joined by Essential Lizette

Both dolls are articulated at the elbows, wrists, and knees.  Both are also wigged, but Essential Lizette’s wig is removable. Another obvious difference is the lighter complexion of the event doll, whose eyes are inset in comparison to the painted eyes of Essential Lizette.

Both dolls are very lovely.

  1. Love her! That outfit is so cute. She looks like a young lady I know.

  2. Thanks Vanessa and MDW. I just noticed that one of Lizette's sock was not above her knee as it should have been in the "sitting pretty" picture. Oh well... school girlz will be school girlz I guess.

  3. Wow, that is some serious craftsmanship! I love everything from her hair to her socks.

  4. Wow! I think she is really beautiful. Enjoy.

  5. Beautiful doll! Her outfit is hip. Love it! Congrats on getting her!

  6. Muff, Hugs, and GG: Thank you! Lizette Dionne is indeed lovely. I also love-love-love her school attire.

The May 2013 issue of Haute Doll magazine features another lovely Lizette Dionne on the cover. I was surprised yet delighted to see a dark-skinned doll as the "cover doll" of a major publication.

  7. I ordered my first Lizette after seeing the picture of your doll. Such a pretty doll! I can't wait for my Lizette to arrive in the mail.

    1. Congratulations on ordering Lizette YB. I am sure you will love her!
