The above statement is a rephrased definition of an art collector. In addition to being plangonologists, do you agree that this rephrased definition fits doll collectors?

There are countless items to collect and write about. Black dolls chose me.

Yes, it really does. What do you call someone who has 10 more dolls than they have room to display?
ReplyDeleteHi April,
DeleteWe can all relate to your question, but we don't really want to know the answer. :-)

Yes, lol!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Linda!π
ReplyDeleteI meant to respond earlier but got caught up on the number 10! So I suppose I looked at the statement from a different angle. My thought is that the collection begins with the 3rd doll. The first may have been a gift, for example. The second one might have been a "found" object. But the third is usually deliberate and serves as an excuse to obtain others.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the collection begins with the third doll based on the principle that three of anything is a collection. For me, it began with the first doll that I purchased for myself as an adult. I did not purchase it with the intention to begin collecting, but after the doll was in my possession, collecting others seemed the "logical" think to do. :-)
