Fashion Madness Kenya Complexion Comparisons

L-R:  Light, medium, and dark Fashion Madness Kenya Dolls:  Movin On, Rock Star, and Fireside Chat

For those considering the use of Fashion Madness Kenya dolls as articulated body donors, the following images should prove helpful in selecting the right donor for your recipients (click any photo to enlarge).

Movin On Kenya's complexion closely resembles AA Stardoll's light complexion, although Kenya is slightly lighter.

Rock Star's complexion closely matches Barbie Basics Model 8's medium complexion.

Fire Side Chat's deep complexion is a close match for S.I.S. Chandra.
I hope this helps!

  1. Great post! Thanks so much. I was hoping to see a review to show how Fireside Chat would match to Chandra's.

  2. Ohh! Thanks so much for this. I know Chandras aren't being produced any more but if I come across any I want an articulated body for her.

    1. You're welcome, Muff.

I didn't realize Chandra has been axed forever. I thought she was supposed to make a return some time next year, but I could be wrong.

    2. I just heard that she had been discontinued but maybe people raised a stink and she is making a comeback. If so, YAY!

  4. This is a great reference post. Why does Kenya's head in the first picture look so much bigger than the Stardoll? In the 2nd and 3rd pictures they don't look as big.

    1. Thanks, Vanessa.

The angle of the dolls, Kenya's massive hair, and the Stardoll's smaller-than-normal size head makes Kenya's oversized head appear even larger when compared to the Stardoll's.

  5. Thanks for sharing. Did the Kenya dolls appear a month or so ago and the return this week at family dollar??

    1. The Kenya Madness dolls first made it to the stores in November. Depending on the area, some stores may have sold out and then restocked the dolls.

  7. Some of the Kenya dolls are fully articulated, not all. The line has now been discontinued.
