I "forced" myself to browse the doll section where the shelves still looked pretty bare from the recent attack of Christmas shoppers. There I found the lone Alexis marked down from $19.99 to $9.99. "Her funky outfit is worth $9.99," I thought. Plus, she seemed to beg me to bring her home.
In comparing this dark brunnette version with my first Alexis, I've determined she looks much better with darker hair (even if her eyes still look a little crossed). Maybe she needs corrective lenses... hmmmm...
She'll be deboxed soon and paired up with Alexis #1.

ReplyDeleteI just bought this doll from walmart.com. They have a LIV sale for $10 for most of the older dolls. I love the outfits. The leggings that they wear fit my Only Heart dolls. Goodness knows those girls need more clothes.

Yes, Kristl, I did. I saw Alexis this week at Target and I believe, if I'm not mistaken, that the doll is on sale in the store and online for $10. I'll double-check when I return.

Thanks, Vanessa. This is my first time seeing this one, but I can't tell from her online pictures if she's darker. Maybe she'll make it to the stores here soon just for me to see her up close and personal.

Someone recently did a blog post comparing the pictures of both and she is more brown skinned than the first one. I can't remember who did the post unfortunately.
