ReplyDeleteNice to see this image of Barbie Basic Jeans just to remind all the collectors about the many mistakes and "erros" from Mattel.
ReplyDeleteThis is the image of the look of the doll in Mattel publicity. But looking the real photos of the product on E-bay is possible to see that the doll's hair dress is not exactly the same of the publicity. And sincerely in my point of view,it's impossible to compare. The publicity look is absolutely amazing and contemporary but the real product...well take a look by yourself...anyway it's not the same and this is not good and it's not the first time Mattel do this.We need to be serious even if we sell toys and jokes.Just to think about it!
Dear Debbie,Thank You Very Much!!

Oh, I like this hairstyle on her. But I want the other, the Target Red Collection. Maybe I should get both? Hmmm ....
ReplyDeleteJorge - you're right, the actual doll's hairstyle is not the same. I have not deboxed my doll yet, but I did attempt to photograph in the box. I was rather disappointed with the hair.
ReplyDeleteDana - Decisions, decisions, decisions. I line Denim's fashion and Red's hair.

Ok! Instead of running all over the place trying to find #17 it is a lot easier to just order him and wait for him to come in the mail...so that is what I did. I would have spent the shipping cost in gas! Thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteSmart move, Ms. Leo. When I see him locally or if I order something from BarbieCollector.com, I plan to purchase a second #17.
