Starkey's Daughter Cloth Dolls

17-inch pressed felt mask-face dolls, Makeba and Rhodesia, by Rachel McCullough Sherrod of Starkey's Daughter Cloth Dolls

I enjoyed watching the video below, which features Rachel McCullough Sherrod.  Rachel provides a glimpse into her pressed-felt, mask-face doll-making process.  I hope you will enjoy viewing as much as I did.

    1. Hi Arlette,

You're welcome. I am glad you enjoyed the video. Now that I have seen the process of how the dolls are made, I am going to request a special doll from Rachel.

The doll on the left in the photo published with this post is my doll. They were both purchased several years ago from Rachel. The other one was a birthday gift for a friend.

Rachel also surprised me with a doll she made in tribute to Ruby Bridges, the first African American girl to enroll in a New Orleans, Louisiana school in 1960 as part of government-mandated school desegregation. That doll's name is Destiny. She has been featured on my blog and can be seen in her initial post here.
