Nia Wilson (aka Fashionista #93), first seen
here after receiving her articulated neo-Blythe body, has five pairs of new hands, shown above.
|
Nia holds up her original hands. |
On the original hands, all fingers on her right hand are separated. The long and ringer fingers are fused on her left hand, as she illustrates above. The additional hands will provide more expressive hand gestures. The pairs can also be mixed. In the first several photos, Nia models each pair as they were originally paired.
|
Nia's hands are slightly cupped in this photo and the next. |

The slightly cupped hands |
|
The thumb and index finger form a grip on the hands shown here and in the next photo. |
|
Nia can easily hold items with the gripping hands. |
|
Nia can make the thumbs-up gesture with these hands. |
|
With the same hands shown in the photo above this one and with a turn of her wrists, Nia can gesture thumbs-down. |
|
I don't quite know why she would need to, but Nia is doing a Spider-man gesture with this pair of hands. |
|
Here is a close-up of the Spider-man gesture. |
|
Except for the thumbs being tucked toward the palms, with this pair of hands, it looks as though Nia is ushering someone to their seat. |
|
Usher hands (again). |
Of the five pairs, I like the slightly cupped hands and the pair that grip. In the final two photos, Nia has her original right hand and her left hand is slightly cupped.

The above set of four hands was available at the time I ordered the set of five. The only hands of interest to me in this set are the peace-sign-gesturing hands.

Cute! I wouldn't mind having a pair of relaxed looking hands for mine. Thanks for showing these.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Roxanne! I would love to have the peace sign hands sold with second set. The others in that set are pretty much useless, unfortunately.

That’s a really cool idea to have different hand gestures as an accessory pack. Wish the major doll companies would consider this!
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if the major doll companies would offer a variety of hands. The most I have seen is an extra pair with some playscake male dolls, but this is definitely not the norm.
DeleteI have purchased 4 of these bodies and have also gotten the extra hand sets for them. These bodies are made by Azone and since they do dolls largely for the Japanese market, the hand jestures are common to what you would see in the Anime and Manga genre's which are very popular in Japan and here in the US as well. My daughter has a huge collection of Manga books and watches a lot of Anime. She also is an artist and does a lot of this style of artwork too. These bodies geared toward the Blythe dolls have the stiff neck knobs to hold those ginormous Blythe heads, but Azone also makes these bodies with a moveable neck post, but not in this darker skin tone. Anyway, I will check my stock to see if I have any of the peace sign hands in this skintone. I know I have them in most of the other skintones! If I do, I would happily send you a set! I will let you know!
ReplyDeleteHi Phyllis,
DeleteHad you not shared the Anime hand information, I would still be clueless regarding most of the hand gestires in sets A and all, except the peace sign, in set B. Thank you! If you do have an extra pair of peace-sign-gesturing hands in this complexion, I would love to own it.
It would be nice if Azone would make the articulated bodies with a movable neck post in this complexion. Nia's head movement is very limited on this body.
Thanks again!
