Doll Finds: Dolls by Gerda Schaarman Rijsdijk

Doll findsDolls I have either added to my collection, salivated over, or recently encountered that are worthy of sharing with other enthusiasts.

I "met" doll artist, Gerda Schaarman Rijsdijk this past August.  Via email, she shared the following images and information about her lovely doll works of art:

Minnie is a 10in/25cm OOAK doll Photograph courtesy of Gerda Schaarman Rijsdijk

Ebony is an 11in/28cm OOAK doll Photograph courtesy of Gerda Schaarman Rijsdijk

Sold as a pair, these porcelain lovelies are priced at 1750 Euro.

Gerda plans to exhibit her dolls at the Doll and Teddy Bear Artist and Collector Convention, May 12-14, 2011 in Philadelphia, PA.  This three-part event includes an Artist Black Doll/Golliwog Convention.

For more information about Gerda and her dolls, visit her website:  http://www.gsr-art.com/.  Minnie and Ebony are included under the Studio Sale link.

  1. Ebony is precious. What a treasure they'd both be for any collector.
